EDITORIAL

This is Issue No. 23 of our ''Ingenierías'' Journal of Universidad de Medellin.

Being in an editorial environment which demands from scientific journals an increasingly high degree of specialization, Universidad de Medellin ''Ingenierías'' Journal does not stop betting on the interdisciplinary proposal intended to offer wide engineering contents with the purpose of reaching equally wide audiences.

In this issue readers will then find contents which, as usually, meet the information needs to consult some key environmental engineering topics such as those related to stream flows and sediments, as well as civil engineering topics about the behavior of structures and transportation, or topics in the financial engineering field, which include reflections on risk and valuation, and topics of the computer science area which include contributions in the fields of artificial intelligence, collaboration strategies, and electronic commerce solutions.

The Editorial Committee is doing its best efforts to have increasingly special issues with the purpose of having better organized discussions and having the expected future circulation.
