Scientific Illustration in Colombia A Look to its State of the Art

Abstract

This article is derived from a bibliographic review of the scientific Illustration practices in Colombia in the last fifty years. Botanists, biologists, amateurs and followers from different techniques are references both from academia as from digital mass media and who have works and creations regarding illustration and nature’s appreciation. It is worth stating that this topic is close to University of Medellin, due to the work performed with students of Advertising Graphic Communications program and its group of interest Kablam, who in the last two years have made explorations around the topic thanks to the richness in flora, fauna and species inn their campus.
