Abstract

This article has as its main objective broadcasting the developments of the Syndicalist Movements in Antioquia between 1924 and 1940. First, the article presents a panoramic view of the historical context and the industrial development of Antioquia, as well as the changes within the city of Medellin due to the creation of new enterprises. The, the articles relates the historical background with the legalization of employees associations in Colombia and its consolidation between the 20s and 30 of the XXth century. Finally, the article presents the main syndicalist movements in Antioquia and its contributions to the labor  conditions of the time.
