Abstract

This article tackles the systematization of the creation process for the documentary project Legado Futuro, whose main objective is to trace the changes in the processes of creation and tradition of the silletero culture in the village of Santa Elena (Medellín-Colombia). To track these changes, a series of interviews were conducted with Young silleteros, and an analysis was made of the transformations in the ways of understanding the silletero culture, which made it possible to know how the change in the communities is evidenced in the processes of creation, as well as in the images displayed on the silletas and the daily life of the farmers of the township. It was then possible to obtain that, from their family as the first transmitter of the silletero cultural tradition, young people configure their identity from the context they inhabit, in relation to their proximity to the urban environment of the city, the access to Higher Education and the use of technology as an instrument of modern communication dynamics.
