Memories of the Corona Lockdown: A Case Study of Romanian Memes on Facebook

Resumo

Este artigo investiga o papel dos memes na formação da memória coletiva durante a pandemia de COVID-19 nas populares páginas de memes (MPs) romenas do Facebook. Utilizando uma análise quantitativa e, em menor grau, qualitativa com estudos de caso, investigamos 1.293 postagens divulgadas por quatro deputados (Junimea, Ion Creangă, Omu Paiangăn e 2Meme), desde as medidas rigorosas durante o estado de emergência, desafios de saúde , adaptação social e transição para um estado de alerta (março a meados de maio de 2020). A coleta de dados envolveu navegação manual e uso da ferramenta de análise de mídias sociais Popsters. Foi realizada uma análise detalhada das imagens macro e memes de vídeo mais curtidas publicadas pelos parlamentares no período do estudo. As descobertas revelam aspectos notáveis da cultura meme durante a pandemia, apontando para os seus impactos multidimensionais no processo de formação da memória.
