Abstract

This article is intended to show a brief overview of the use of image in social research, then it focuses on the audiovisual ethnography-fiction relationship as a methodological and theoretical proposal to be followed by authors in the search for not making of registration media an instrument, but widening analysis, interpretation, and appropriateness possibilities of the social universe of representations and symbols

Germán Arango, University of Antioquia

Antropólogo egresado de la Universidad de Antioquia. Se desempeña como docente ocasional en la misma impartiendo cursos sobre documental, imagen y antropología visual. Además de realizador se ha destacado como montajista y editor de sus propios
trabajos (Derecho por San Juan, La Rueca) y los de otros (Mineno Ma Kusa Ri Palenge, El Otro Brillo).

Camilo Pérez, University of Antioquia

antropólogo egresado de la Universidad de Antioquia. Investigador asociado del Grupo Cultura, Violencia y Territorio, del Instituto de Estudios Regionales INER y docente de la Universidad Luis Amigó, donde imparte cursos de imagen, lenguaje audiovisual y asesorías en investigación. Además de realizador se ha destacado como guionista y operador de cámara de la mayor
parte de sus trabajos (Ciudad-ES, En Medio de la Guerra, La Rutina, El Otro Brillo).
