Our target readers are teachers, researchers, and students from the faculties, schools, and programs in economy from the Latin-American context; likewise, the journal is targeted towards those in charge of shaping and creating economic policies and for institutional personnel from international, regional, national, and local context who are interested in analyzing and broadcasting the behavior of the variables of the different phenomena studied by economy.

Semestre Económico is an open-access scientific journal specializing in economy topics with a biannual periodicity, which includes two issues and 20 articles per year. Since the 52nd issue of 2019, the journal publishes its articles by continuous publication.
