Abstract

The sacrifice, as a metaphoric elabo­ration of social reciprocities is treated in this document in its complex polysemy, and from which the objective- subjective dialectics showed in ritual scenarios is studied. With this purpose, the analysis is focused on moments of interruption in social cohesion during the pre-Hispanic period and contemporaneous Mesoameri­can indigenous world, taken it as a back­ground, in order to propose an explanation from such categories for current society in fragmentation processes, which break reciprocal links in the center of different Latin American communities, resulting in sacrificed expressions participating in the reconstitution of social fractures occurred in our territory, and restitute, Humberto Maturana’s words, loving bond inherent to human condition.
