Abstract

This essay is a reflection around a thesis which supports that human development is a theoretical construct crossed by multiple variables beyond what is merely economic and what is related to survival and wellbeing. This indicates that taking about a real human development results in a complex topic and deep implications in the subjectivity field and in the encounter with oneself, in function of being able of encountering, construct an identity and be able to look at others. As expressed by Zambrano (2007) 'Identify cannot be replaced; it is the essence of what we are.'
