Main Article Content
Abstract
Food and water are essential elements for any way of development of several countries in need of water. The progressive exhaustion of natural resources in developed countries has been the interest trigger of these countries for the huge richness of developing countries such as Colombia. The mass purchase of fertile
land and water by multinational companies has resulted in a lot of debates on protection of the patrimony and norms to be adopted in order to allow assuring survival of the poorest countries’ inhabitants. In this context, it is necessary to base the right to feeding guarantee and the access to water as a collective fundamental right in Colombia, which will result in a wide variety of juridical
rules limiting the sale of natural resources to foreign companies. Likewise, the role of Colombian Constitutional Court is very important due to its protecting jurisprudence of social rights in relation to water and food.
