Conflictos ambientales: la biodiversidad como estrategia ordenadora del territorio

Abstract
 El interés por la protección de la biodiversidad genera conflictos ambientales inéditos, como el que ocurre con los pobladores de los corregimientos de San Sebastián de Palmitas y San Cristóbal, del municipio de Medellín, a raíz de la declaración de un Distrito de Manejo Integrado. Para abordar adecuadamente su tratamiento, se requiere un enfoque que profundice conceptualmente en la naturaleza de los conflictos ambientales, que considere las características de las comunidades campesinas, que analice las interacciones entre las sociedades y su entorno natural y que busque alternativas para que las decisiones en materia de conservación puedan ser compatibles con la preservación de economías rurales sostenibles.
